Looking for a great yoga class on Auckland's North Shore?

Our full timetable (see below) resumes Wed 1st Feb. (Closed on Anniversary Day, Tues 31st Jan one class only at 5.45pm - all welcome!)

Absolute Beginners – a 3-week course in Feb  -  Tutor Jo Hogan

Have you always wanted to try Yoga but been a bit afraid to start?  
Are you worried that you aren’t flexible or fit enough and that everyone else will be more experienced than you?
Do you want to start right from the beginning, in a supportive, safe environment with others who are new to yoga too?
Then the ‘Absolute Beginners Course’ is just perfect for you!   This 3 week course will give you the foundations of yoga and teach you the difference between your downward facing dogs and upward facing cats.  You will learn why yoga has been used for thousands of years to benefit not just the physical body but also mental and emotional wellbeing.  You will experience simple yoga poses and breathing exercises that will leave you feeling relaxed and revived as well as gaining the confidence to move forwards in your practice to join other group classes.
Saturday February 11th, 18th and 25th.    12.30pm to 1.45pm.    $60 per person or $110 for two.  BOOKING ESSENTIAL - email sue@albanyyoga.co.nz.
Tutor – Jo Hogan.   Jo has been teaching yoga for twelve years and has a gentle, friendly accessible style that encourages her students to learn at their own pace.

Beginners are welcome in all special classes (Restorative, Over 50's, Pregnancy, Mums & Babies, Shakti Dance) You may also attend General classes if the Beginner times don't suit you.

And likewise, more experienced students are warmly welcomed into Beginner classes if you enjoy taking a step backwards and working more slowly into your practice in order perhaps to experience a deeper connection.

No need to book for any classes except Over-50's, Mums & Babies and Shakti Dance

If you'd like a little taste of MEDITATION come to our 9.30am Thursday class or our Sunday class. We offer a short guided meditation immediately AFTER those classes for students who would like to stay.

RESTORATIVE yoga classes now run every Mon evening. However once a month certain other regular (daytime) classes are run as Restorative - check the 'Morning Restorative' category under Class Descriptions on our menu to find out which ones.

Over long weekends and public holidays please always check which classes are running.

19:15 - 20:30     Restorative class with Deborah Rubin. (deep relaxation)

 

Tuesday

9.30 - 11.00   Beginners class with Susan Grbic

12.00 - 1.15pm Beginners class with Deborah Rubin

1.30 - 2.45    Over - 50's with Deborah Rubin (monthly course - booking essential)

17.45 - 1900  Beginners class with Susan Grbic

Wednesday

09:15 - 10:45     General class with Deborah Rubin.

19:15 - 20:30     General class with Nikki Ralston

Thursday

09:30 - 11:00     Beginners class with Susan Grbic.

12.00 - 1.15       Mums & Babes 8 wk course with Jo - booking essential. Begins 09.02.12

17:45 - 19:00     Beginners class with Helena Skalova.

19.15 - 20.45     Shakti Dance with Arvinderfee - not currently running. Watch this space :)
