English-born Arvinderfee spent many years as a yoga student in the UK before emigrating to New Zealand in 2009. However before emigrating she qualified as a Kundalini Yoga teacher at the Amrit Nam Sarovar IKYTA accredited school. She then went to Italy in 2008 to train in Shakti Dance with the movement's founder, Sara Avtar Olivier and qualified as a teacher that year.
Fiona Blankley, as Arvinderfee was previously known, first experienced yoga as a child. The spiritual name Arvinder was given to her by her Kundalin Yoga teacher Har Hari Kaur and it means lotus flower. Arvinderfee's passion for both yoga and movement have brought about a union that she loves to share with others. She is believed to be the first accredited Shakti Dance teacher in the Southern Hemisphere.
Arvinderfee is also a qualified reflexologist and Indian head masseur with ITEC and VTCT qualifications from the UK.
