Finally with our government announcement New Zealand is in Alert Level 2.
We will be opening our Albany Yoga Room for students.
Our guidelines are important please note:
Booking is essential and we will be limited to a maximum of 11 students in a class.
If you are booked and you can not make the class, please cancel (using the email link) with enough time so another student can take that place. Contact tracing comes from your bookings so please do make sure your details are correct.
We have marked out our mat spaces for you. Please enter passages and halls when they are clear and keep your props and belongings to a minimum, so that you can keep them with you.
We won’t be offering the use of props but some mats will be cleaned for you if you can not provide one. So do provide your own props at this time. AYR will teach with as few props as possible for the time being anyway. We will have bought in economical Giam block and strap set and we have mats, eye pillows etc for purchase.
There will be hand sanitiser as you enter the room where you take off your shoes and another on the way into the bathroom area and one by our EFTPOS terminal. Paper towels will be available in the toilet.
Because you have Pre-booked the teacher will sign you in. Teachers will not be be walking around or making adjustments at this time.
We will be wiping down all commonly used surfaces and handles throughout the day. We also will be asking our professional cleaners to come more regularly.
Our changing/kitchen will be closed, so please leave coats umbrellas with your shoes and bring water with you and our teacher will secure your belongings by locking the door.
Our online classes that have been held will continue alongside a regular ones, so you might chose to stay at home and pick from one available with each teacher.
If you are feeling at all unwell, please do stay at home and make use of the live streaming option instead. Our usual classes that turn into Restorative once a month will not be held. We will be offering Yoga Nidra and meditation courses online to help you regain your strength.
We are asking you to provide your own props at this time when you can, however we will provide mats and blocks which you must spay after using. Please note rolled towels and pillows and facecloths and blankets and a soft block would be a great addition to your own practice. However we will be practicing yoga at AYR with as few props as we can, for the time being anyway.
Send your feedback on how we can support you and your families. What online classes would you like to keep?
